Our History
Chainbridge Solutions embodies a profound commitment to helping people, rooted in our founder’s deeply personal journey. Our organization was formed in 2010 by Aarti Smith, a Virginia Tech graduate deeply affected by the tragic events of April 16, 2007. Driven by the desire to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future, Aarti founded Chainbridge Solutions with people in mind.
Over the past decade, we expanded this dedication and purpose for security into other areas of the federal government that too are impacted by human vulnerabilities
and risk, growing into who we are today – an application transformation company
specializing in solutions for workforce security, workplace modernization and
workflow automation.
Our People
Our passion for this work is driven from our people, who make up the heartbeat of Chainbridge Solutions. We are comprised of over 100 smart and talented individuals who think differently about applications and push the needle on what’s possible.
Our team has become more than colleagues, we are a community. We celebrate successes together, support one another through challenges, and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect. Our diverse workforce, with nearly equal female representation, fosters collaboration, shared perspectives, innovation, and camaraderie.
Dedicated R&D Team
Chainbridge’s Innovation Group was born out of a desire to problem-solve and prototype alongside our customers. This dedicated team of experts identify customer needs as they arise, experiment with emerging technologies, and develop new leading-edge solutions that can be quickly applied to our customers’ use cases. Workforce Development Initiative
Our workforce development initiative, Bridge Academy, fosters internships in technology. The Academy, open to individuals with varying levels of experience, provides curated curriculums to develop skills as Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers, and gain employment directly at Chainbridge Solutions or other technology firms and partners.

Industry and Community Partners
We have formed meaningful partnerships to grow our impact – advocating for initiatives that move our mission, industry, and communities forward.
Across industry, we’ve partnered with CGI, participating in the All Small Business Mentor-Protégé Program. We are also actively involved in the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Intelligence Council at Intelligence and National Security Alliance. Additional organizations we support are Women in Technology, Girls in Technology, and STEM for Her – supporting through mentorship and advocacy to empower the growth of women in technical fields and advocate for gender equality.
Locally, our team works with Fairfax County Public Schools’ Secondary Transition to Employment Program (STEP). This program provides students aged 18-22 with disabilities employment training in professional settings. We also engage in initiatives across our communities, such as volunteering for the Northern Virginia Family Service organization, participating in fundraising activities, and sponsoring families and children.
