Bridging Tech: Helping Kids Reach Their Full Potential
Inspired by two young leaders from Stanford University who kicked off a program at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic called Bridging Tech, Chainbridge Solutions joins in their passion to help children in underserved communities. The Bridging Tech program provides the crucial technology for these children to attend school remotely, complete assignments, and have access to online information for learning. Launched as a charitable non-profit organization, Bridging Tech receives technology donations around the country. Bridging Tech shares our passion for “bridging” a solution to a need or idea. Chainbridge Solutions has embraced Bridging Tech and is donating laptops to the non-profit. We will continue to support them and donate
Introducing Chainbridge Solutions Bridge Academy (CSBA): Investing in the Next Generation of Technical Talent!
Education and empowerment are the core tenants of our culture and our value statement. We work closely with young women in high school within the Girl’s in Technology (GIT) program. We help these future leaders navigate college readiness and guide their passion for education in the disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). For another important program, Bridging Technology, we provide old laptops to poverty-stricken youth, unable to procure necessary technology for learning. The laptops are refurbished
Lifecycle Management of a Credential Holder
We’ve established that credential management is case management and described how low-code application platforms like ServiceNow can be used to standardize the onboarding process. However, just because the provider has been successfully onboarded does not mean the credential management work is done. Once onboarded, the credential holder must maintain ongoing certification requirements, continuing professional education (CPE), currency maintenance, and similar activities. Through an employee service portal, the credential holder can report CPE events, practice hours and activities, report renewed or upgraded licenses/certifications, and similar activities. The reporting is
Using Emerging Technology to Innovate is Our Passion
Emerging technology is a broad term describing contemporary and innovative advances in various technical fields. For the application development field, the biggest emerging technology is Artificial Intelligence (AI). The spectrum of AI capabilities is helping to take applications to a whole other level. Chainbridge Solutions is adding AI to our solutions, offering customers insights into their data and the ability to make critical decisions with confidence. We have implemented machine learning within our Personnel Security solutions, offering agency staff a prediction of a final clearance adjudication decision long before an investigation is completed. As more data is examined by the machine learning algorithm, the accuracy
The Case [Management] for Modernization
Investigation adjudications and personnel security agencies are moving towards holistic data management to address the need for complete and accurate information that will form the foundation of Trusted Workforce 2.0 (TW2.0). New policies and requirements related to TW2.0 will drive the need for updates to existing personnel security systems that enable intentional decision-making while mitigating risk, detecting patterns, and optimizing efficiency. These systems must collate information from diverse sources to enable agencies to make swift and collaborative decisions. As the world of personnel security and
The SEAD 6 Continuous Evaluation ODNI Interface and Why Agencies Need It!
On January 12, 2018, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) issued Security Executive Agent Directive 6. This directive established policy and requirements for the continuous evaluation (CE) of cleared individuals who require continued eligibility for access to classified information or eligibility to hold a sensitive position. The policy further specifies that automated record checks shall be conducted on personnel enrolled in the CE program. The record checks must be frequent and conducted with
Credential Management is Case Management
Credentialing is the intake, vetting, and adjudication of medical professionals to check education, licensing, certifications, etc. These artifacts are attached to a person through a case and once adjudicated, afford the employee or contractor certain privileges (e.g. patient care, medical practice, law enforcement, etc). Credentialing activities reviews occur initially during the onboarding process, but continuous evaluation occurs throughout the professional’s tenure at an agency. The onboarding process for most federal agency employees and contractors is relatively straightforward. It starts with an intake process (e.g job application, Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR)
Lack of HR Workforce and Succession Planning
For years, agencies have been talking about shifting the focus of HR Specialists from low-value to high-value work, or in other words shifting from transactional to transformational. The reality is not much has changed. There are a variety of factors preventing the change, but HR is often more focused on mission-based workforce planning than their own ‘back office’ workforce planning. As a result, inertia has set in and HR operations continue substantially unchanged. The US Merit Systems Protection
Effective Employee Relations –Benefits Employees & Agencies
The employee experience is paramount to employee productivity and retention. However, unstructured or inconsistent processes for handling employee issues – such as complaints, allegations, grievances, safety violations, misconduct, and more – can severely damage the relationship between employees and their employer. Organizations cannot afford the negative impact to morale that results when employees feel that the issues they raise with human resources (HR) aren’t resolved in a timely or fair manner. In organizations today, it can be easy
