Chainbridge Solutions Named to Inaugural Hokie 100 List

Chainbridge Solutions announced today that it has been named to Virginia Tech’s inaugural Hokie 100 list, recognizing the 100 fastest-growing Hokie-led companies.

The Hokie 100 is comprised of Virginia Tech alumni who are building and growing companies across industries and communities. For Chainbridge, the recognition connects the company’s growth to the university where its founding mission was born.

“Virginia Tech shaped my path as an engineer and my purpose in founding Chainbridge,” said Aarti Smith, Founder and CEO of Chainbridge Solutions. “After the 2007 Virginia Tech tragedy, I set out to build software that could help keep people safe. Sixteen years later, that mission still guides our company. Being named to the Hokie 100 is such an honor and reflection of our team’s commitment to our mission.”

Smith earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and has more than 25 years of experience across application development, modernization, and Personnel Security systems and services. Before founding Chainbridge in 2010, she held senior technology roles at ContentGuard and SRA International (now GDIT), where she managed large technology consulting and legal IT projects.

Today Chainbridge remains committed to keeping people safe – delivering mission-critical software, Personnel Security solutions, and Applied AI capabilities to help protect the U.S. federal workforce and modernize federal operations.

Chainbridge was recognized alongside fellow honorees at the inaugural Hokie 100 Celebration on September 2 in Alexandria, Virginia. The event brought together Hokie founders, business leaders, investors, and university partners to recognize the growth and impact of Virginia Tech entrepreneurs.
