Aarti Smith is the founder and CEO of Chainbridge Solutions, established in 2010 to address challenges stemming from disconnected information systems and their impact on safety and security. With over 25 years of experience in application development, business process management, and personnel security, Aarti has grown Chainbridge Solutions from a small startup into an award-winning organization. Under her leadership, the company has become a trusted provider of advanced software solutions that enhance security, streamline operations, and drive efficiency for federal clients.
Aarti is also a passionate advocate for workforce development and inclusion. She leads Chainbridge Solutions’ partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools’ Secondary Transition to Employment Program (STEP), offering professional employment training to students with disabilities. Additionally, she serves on the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Subcommittee for the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and mentors young women through Women in Technology’s mentor-protégé program. Aarti is a proud supporter of Girls in Technology and STEM for Her, promoting gender equality and empowering women in technical fields.
Before founding Chainbridge, Aarti served as a Senior Consultant at ContentGuard (a subsidiary of Xerox) and as a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at SRA International, where she managed large technology consulting and legal IT projects. Aarti earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
Outside of work, Aarti spends time with her husband and family. She enjoys traveling around the world to experience different cultures and amazing food. She is also obsessed with capturing beautiful pictures of bridges!
