Chainbridge Solutions is a dynamic software development company that leverages cloud technologies to solve customer problems. In support of this objective, we are seeking a Cloud Architect to join our Technology Group, an organization within our company dedicated to the identification of innovative solutions for current or future customers. As a Cloud Architect, you’ll be responsible for designing, prototyping, and implementing solutions that meet a wide variety of needs in the US Federal market.

The Cloud Architect will serve as Chainbridge Solutions’ subject matter expert in the field of cloud technology. You will use the latest features of AWS to enable software and system development activities including DevSecOps and deployment of infrastructure as code systems. As the Cloud Architect you will meet with current and potential customers to demonstrate how cloud platforms can address mission-critical workload demands and introduce efficiencies. You will have the freedom to explore and assess cloud capabilities as they are launched. You will manage vendor partnership programs and recommend ways to increase our partnership level. The Cloud Architect will also help set the strategic direction for cloud technologies within our portfolio of solutions, identifying best of breed and fit for purpose answers to questions concerning compute, storage, security, and SDLC. The Cloud Architect will also be responsible for written technical proposal content related to cloud services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design AWS-based cloud architecture and integration solutions on existing and new projects
  • Research new cloud services/capabilities and brief senior leadership on benefits
  • Establish DevSecOps-based tooling and best practices
  • Support proposal teams in designing and documenting compelling cloud solutions
  • Advise customers on cloud operations and engineering best practices
  • Support business development teams meeting with potential customers for cloud services
  • Work on billable projects that require cloud engineering expertise

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years’ experience in general system engineering, preferably in the Federal space
  • 4-6 years’ experience providing cloud system engineering support within an AWS environment
  • Proven ability to design, develop, evaluate, and modify cloud systems and systems-oriented products
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting software cloud solutions
  • Experience contributing to technical proposals and other sales efforts
  • Experience with infrastructure such as code scripting languages and technology
  • Cloud certifications in AWS
  • US Citizen, willing and able to undergo a U.S. Government background investigation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
